Metal Church

Metal Church originated from Seattle, Washington in the mid eighties. David Wayne, also from Seattle, was the Church's first singer. He sang on their first two albums "Metal Church" and "The Dark" and then left the band in the late eighties, to become lead vocals for Reverend.

Wayne blew the fuck outta' Metallica at Jezebel's in Fullerton, California with Metal Church, around the time when Metallica had put out their first album "Kill 'Em All". Metal Church was so loud and so powerful that they blew the entire sound system in the club, but still played on and finished their fuckin' song man! He he.

A year after David Wayne's departure from Metal Church, , and Mike Howe's entrance, Reverend was born. Reverend debuts at the Rainbow Club in L.A. on a Friday night, man, as the main attraction. "Reverend, featuring David Wayne" was on the Marquis. I went and saw them man and I was fuckin' blown away!

Mike Howe's debut album with Metal Church is "Blessing in Disguise". Mike Howe fuckin' rips on vocals! Anytime Metal Church put out a new album under Mike Howe's direction, Reverend would also put out an album. But then Mike Howe disappeared in 1997 from Metal Church.

Metal Church's drummer's name is Larry Millington. He's got long, long, silver and black hair and a mustache and a beard. He looks like he's out of a book! Big, huge, red double-kick drum set, man! His brother, Daryl, who drums for Reverend, plays these huge, black, double-kicks that look like fifty-gallon oil drums. They're fuckin' loud. Both Millingtons are fuckin' gods on drums!

In 1998, David Wayne rejoined Metal Church. Wayne IS Metal Church. The band released a new album in 2001. Since he rejoined Metal Church, there hasn't been anything from Reverend.
